Shuttering at all the work…

Norm has been worrying about measuring, ordering, priming, painting and installing the shutters for nine months, but now it’s done. It took both of us working for 2 1/2 days to get them installed, but as you can see, they are looking good. You can see him showing them off, and various views from inside and out. They will be very effective during the summer months when you want to let in a bit of air, but not the hot sun.

Another cool thing is that the screw pine by the pool has a pine cone on it. But the thing isn’t really a pine cone, instead they produce an “inflorescence of the Screw Pine.  The nuts are not the seeds.  The nuts open into a cascade of pollen rich fiber.”
